
3M who serves to more than 200 countries around the world this time at American Library Association Midwinter Conference comes up with two new self check systems. The C series Self Check System, first one, is meant for material check in and R series, material check out and check in. To enhance the usability of material management, simplify library self service transactions, cost reduction and improve customer satisfaction both the systems are using Radio Frequency Identification extensively.

– Simple instructions and an easy-use touch screen that delivers a high success rate to first-time self-checkout users.

– Web-based monitoring and diagnostic capabilities that allow administrators to troubleshoot systems from any location.
– Selectable check-in method that empowers the customer to process materials for check-in.
Business manager of Library System Rory Yanchek informs that Self Check system also notifies all the library staffs if and when the printer paper is low and what’s more offers customers a choice of receipts, print one or email version. He calls it robust line of customizable library solutions.
