RFID technology is a friend as well as foe. We notice RFID tags used to track the offenders produces worthy results. Nevertheless, it ignites controversy when we use it track the civilians. It appears that the government of Ohio realized this and is now working judiciously on RFID technology.



Few months ago, the state of Ohio in USA embedded RFID tags into prisoner’ wristbands and got good results. However, when it comes to track the people, some of senators are in the forefront of opposing the latest technology.



A Senator from City of Cincinnati, Sen. Robert Schuler has brought a bill, which bars employers to implant tracking tags to the employees.



Ohio becomes the state of US to introduce such kind of bill. Wisconsin has already passed such kind of bill last month.



The recent developments give the message that the government is taking steps to prevent misuse of RFID technology.
