Canada is yet to experience RFID at its fullest form while some companies are still on research and development or in beta testing phase. In the next few year experts feel when the demand for RFID technology will be on rise to install and run the technology there will be a scarcity of qualified manpower.
Though there are lots of people standing on the ringside and watching the game, Toronto-based retail analyst Marty McGuiness feels there are very few people available with hands on knowledge and specific industry experience.
One of the reasons could be the technology’s mushrooming of acceptance by the industry and thus resulting in the dearth of talents.
