Finland-based vendor RFID tag design and manufacturing specialist Confidex will provide around 125 million disposable contactless tickets to Guangshen Railway Company of China’s Railway ministry. For which, the two sides have signed a five-year agreement.



The Chinese railway networking that carries nearly three billion passengers annually between Guangzhou and Shenzhen has noticed the counterfeiting of the outdated bar-code tickets. Therefore, it has decided to replace the bar-code tickets to arrest the tickets frauds to ensure passengers’ safety.



Now, Confidex will provide RFID-enabled single-use contactless tickets, which appear like a paper and carries Mifare UL Chip. Mifare UL Chips were embedded in the FIFA world cup tickets.
