OMRON Corporation, Kyoto based global leader in the field of automation, sensing and control technologies has revealed a new electronic control antenna technology embedded in UHF-band RFID reader which is believed to be the first of its kind and is all set to enhance RFID tag reading performance. (The solution awaits its patent on the same)



In the recent past the usage of UHF RFID system has experienced an unprecedented growth both in USA and other parts of the country in the retail as well as in the logistic industries.



To answer an inherent problem of electromagnetic signals (subject to multipath interference(*2)) which has the ability to make RFID tags dysfunctional to some extent (unreadable that is) OMRON has developed a new antenna technology that can electronically control the electromagnetic field emitted from the reader.
