The RFID solutions providers Tagsys and Integrated Technology Group (ITG) have made a valuable contribution for the renovation work at the Alvar branch of New Orleans Public Library. The Alvar branch was completely destructed by the Hurricane Katrina last year.
Tagsys and ITG donated RFID tags for this library. It will reopen for the public on July 5. Now the visitors will find all most all the 13,000 books on its shelves have RFID tags. With this attachment (Tags), the library gets a completely new look and ready to serve the readers and staff.
The staffs at the New Orleans Public Library will able to track the books, CDs, Periodicals and other such materials quickly and accurately.
Undeniably, the RFID infrastructure will reduce the administrative burden of the library staff and provide greater accessibility for its patrons.
