Psion Teklogix and GlobeRanger have teamed up for RFID Edgeware Deployment of the Department of Defense. The United States Defense Distribution Centre (DDC) has given a $1.8 million contract to Psion Teklogix. The agreement calls for Psion Teklogix to install GlobeRanger’s iMotion Edgeware throughout DDC facilities by the end of next year.





According to the agreement, Psion Teklogix will join forces with GlobeRanger, one of the leading RFID, mobility and sensor-based software developers for the installment of iMotion Edgeware in 26 DDC sites across the globe.





DDC has already started the RFID implementation way back to 2004 at its two strategic distribution centers to receive goods from suppliers. With this contract, it has extended the RFID deployments worldwide. It would be the largest passive RFID installation in the US government.
