The RFID technology will work like wonder, if the RFID Guardian device works successfully. The researchers in Amsterdam have developed this newest device to protect privacy of the individual by preventing RFID tags from being read.
The RFID Guardian looks like a PDA-size handhold device. It alerts the holder when a RFID scanner is near and intending to read a chip attached in the materials (cloths) the person might be wearing.
The device operates on a 550-Mhz XScale (present in PDA and cell phones) 32-bit processor with 64 MB of Ram that functions as the central nervous systems. The protocol stack was written in C to function on top of eCos, which is an open-source operating system.
