Germany-based energy giant RWE is using icms (Identity and Card Management System) to control its workforce.
The icms has been developed by VPS (Video Print System), a European company that have been developing innovative solutions and professional systems for the personalization of company cards on the international market.
The icms was first introduced in June this year with limited number of workers. Now it covers nearly 45,000 employees of RWE, VPS explains.
Commenting on the mega project, VPS’s Sales Director Karlheinz Bold recalls,
Among the foremost challenges presented by this large-scale project was the need to handle the many different card technologies currently in use among the Group’s companies: from magnetic stripe to various types of contactless employee badges.
However, the project was efficiently implemented by using advanced features of icms such as configurable interfaces that facilitate system to connect to the different data sources exist within the Group’s companies.
