Two US senators John Cornya (Republican) from Texas and Byron Dorgan (Democratic) of North Dakota have initiated a Caucus to form a forum to discuss all the important issues of RFID technology.
The Caucus named, as the Senate RFID Caucus will highlight the privacy and security concerns of RFID. It will take steps to aware lawmakers and staff on the role of this latest technology in national security and industrial applications.
Cornya and Dorgan will co chair the Caucus. They call other senators to join in the Caucus whose first meeting will be held on July 13.
It will develop a model so as to enable the US dominate the global RFID market. It will develop strategies for the US government for the development of RFID technology.
In these days, there are debates among the political leaderships on the privacy concerns of RFID technology cutting across the party politics. Therefore, the Caucus will give priority to settle the issue.
