STMicroelectronics, a recognized leader in developing and delivering semiconductor solutions has announced that it will offer two 2048-bit RFID memory products, which are compliant with the ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 18000-3 Mode 1 RFID standards for tracking applications.
The company will use 2048-bit memories in the LRI2K and LRIS2K because of the growing demand for increased memory in cost-sensitive general-purpose RFID applications needed both data storage and security.
The new devices of STMicroelectronics are chips highly useful for access control, library automation and supply-chain management of the products. The LRIS2K has an innovative password feature for extra protection. Users can profile the each memory block individually using one of three available passwords. Security profiling carries a high level of flexibility and allows different parts of the supply chain to control different segments of memory. Both the devices provide two Kbits of electrically erasable user memory. The company will market LRI2K and LRIS2K in July. Now the samples of these two devices are available.
