The Swedish government is all set to use RFID technology in the parliamentary voting system. For which, it has selected ACG Identification Technologies to seek its reliable HF Multi ISO reader.
Swedish Parliament has 349 members. For secure voting in the house, these members need to vote from the seat allotted them at the beginning of the legislature.
With a view to speed up voting operation, the Swedish Parliament determines to remove this hurdle by permitting its members to cast their vote from any seat in the chamber. However, the idea requires a secure and reliable identification system for the parliamentarians.
Therefore, it has decided to provide contactless access control ID cards to the members and deployed RFID readers from ACG. These readers would ensure faster and more secure voting operations enabling members to cast their votes from any seat in the house.
