The two leading RFID giants Sybase and Intermec have clubbed together to develop and market result-oriented RFID infrastructure and solutions what they call ‘Best of Breed’ RFID solutions.



The techno deal calls for the Australia-based Sybase, which has headquartered at California to integrate its RFID Anywhere platform with Intermec’s hardware. Intermec is a recognized leader in global supply chain solutions and developer of mobile computing systems, bar code printers and label media.



Sybase’s RFID Anywhere software platform simplifies RFID projects such as development, deployment and management of highly distributed and multi-site networks. The software will interface the RFID readers, printers and other barcode equipments of Intermec.



As per the agreement, the companies will put together their technical resources to build RFID solutions for local customers, systems integrators and application developers. They will also develop a marketing strategy to dominate the Australia and New Zealand markets.
