Cannes’s Hospital Laundry (BIH) looks after the cleaning and management of staff uniforms of three hospitals in the city. The hospitals are Cannes, Antibes and Grasse.
Until now, the entire process was labor intensive, which sometimes produced inaccuracy in calculation as well expensive. BIH overcomes this problem by adopting RFID infrastructure from TAGSYS.
TAGSYS, a company as we know designs RFID tags for end-to-end item-level tracking that automates labor-intensive processes, authenticates and safeguards goods, and enables real-time inventory and asset visibility. One such tag, TAGSYS’ ARIO 70-TL is widely popular for its capacity to resist repeated exposure to water, heat and chemicals. It has been in use in more than 36,000 hospital-issued uniforms.
Now, the BIH will use this tag to trace and record the hospital uniforms for inventory as they pass the facility with an automatic garment dispenser.
