Traceability literally means the ability to trace the history, application, or location of a product, which is under consideration. Traceability assumes greater significance for the food industry since it affects standard of living of the people.
That’s why UK-based TraceAll, a provider of food traceability software has geared up to develop its online system for tracking food ingredients and products with RFID technology. For which, it has selected Symbol Technologies.
Under the traceability program, Symbol’s mobile bar code and RFID readers would be integrated with TraceAll’s online traceability software. The newly developed system would be available in UK, Denmark, Norway and Sweden initially.
