The announcement from the trader body came after Tesco revealed that by mid 2006 it aims to implement RFID tags and readers in 1400 of its stores and 30 distribution centers. Not only retail sector, even chemists Superdrug and car manufacturer Volvo also plans to implement the technology in the next year.
