Wisconsin will implement the law that bars compulsory implementation of RFID tags into humans this week. Governor James Doyle signed the legislation in May. As per the new law, no person will be allowed to force another to put a microchip implanted in his body. The government will take disciplinary actions against the law violators. The person who violates will be liable to pay $10,000 each day until the chip is removed.

With the new law ready for enforcement, Wisconsin will become one of the first states to implement such kind of law. Other 19 states are keen to introduce laws to put some restriction on the use of RFID technology. By enacting such kind of legislations, one that Wisconsin did recently, would have major implications for RFID product makers, distributors and users.
