The two leading RFID leaders Alien Technology and Intermec are waging a legal battle once again. Now the Alien Technology faces a suit from Intermec for allegedly infringing 10 Intermec patents.





Intermec, the Washington-based RFID hardware designer has filed a suit in the US District Court for the District of Delaware for patent infringement accusing its UHF RFID readers and tags are being infringed by the California-based Alien Technology. Intermec has asked the court to ban the sale of the infringed RFID products. It has also sought monetary damages from the sale of Alien’s Gen 2 RFID readers. Last month, Alien moved Federal District Court in the District of North Dakota against Intermec.
